Levi Rehabilitation Unit

The Levi Rehabilitation Unit, located on the fifth floor, was established as a cooperative effort between Levi Hospital and St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center in August of 1995. Patients who have completed the other phases of their care, but are still not able to return home come to this unit for further care. This proximity allows patients an easier transition from other hospital units when they are ready for rehabilitation.

At the Levi Rehabilitation Unit, patients work to regain or adapt their previous capabilities and learn new skills in an atmosphere of warmth and dignity. Patients become part of the rehab team that works toward returning them to the highest level of function possible.

The Levi Rehabilitation Unit provides rehabilitation after stroke, head injury, orthopaedic surgery, amputation and other diagnoses. Our team of rehab specialists includes a rheumatologist, a neurologist, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, nursing, social services, and a dietitian. Other services are available on an as needed basis.
