Mercy Continence Care

Bladder control and/or bladder leakage concerns are not a normal part of aging, not a lack of self control, and not an emotional illness. These are symptons of a physical, medical problem. Incontinence affects 25 million Americans including men and women of all ages and walks of life.

There are two type of bladder problems: 1)Incontinence or bladder leakage which is the inability to control bladder function resulting in the unintentional loss of urine and 2)Overactive bladder or bladder urgency/frequency which is the feeling that you need to urinate more than 6-8 times during the day and more than 1-2 times at night, with urges that are sudden and strong and difficult to control.

The professional staff of the Mercy Continence Care Program understands that incontinence affects the quality of your life and that of your family. Our specialized staff is here to provide you with highly effective treatment options in a caring and supportive environment. Your privacy and confidentiality are strictly maintained.

As there are simple medical reasons for incontinence or bladder control problems, a through medical and urological evaluation by your physician is recommended. Ask your doctor if the Mercy Continence Care Program can benefit you. A physician referral is needed. Please call (501) 622-1022 to schedule an appointment.
