Mercy Cancer Center
The
27,500 square-foot Mercy Cancer Center offers comprehensive cancer services
all in one convenient location. In fact, St. Joseph's Mercy Cancer Center offers the latest
technological advances including IMRT and IGRT treatment techniques and is the only Center of its kind in South Central
Arkansas.
St. Joseph's compassionate team of cancer specialists,
nurses, therapists and ancillary staff are there every step of the way during cancer treatment.
Our oncology nurses provide
symptom management along with providing cancer education to patients and their families.
The Mercy Cancer Center also includes a cancer
registry providing not only lifetime follow-up on the cancer patients at St.
Joseph's, but contributing statistical data used in national research. A consultation
area for pain management, case management, medical nutrition therapy and hospice
allows patients and family members to access services they need to assist them
with emotional and financial , as well as physical needs. As a vital part of
St. Joseph's cancer services, the Mercy Lodges
provide cancer patients a comfortable, home-like setting in which to stay while
receiving treatments.
In addition, the Mercy Cancer Center houses physician
offices, a resource library, community and education rooms for classes and support
groups and a dedicated American Cancer Society educational area.
