The statewide Information & Referral Center of the APDA at St Joseph’s serves the entire state by offering information about this disease and the management of symptoms. There are currently 28 support groups in Arkansas. We have 2 seminars every year offering up to date information to patients, caregivers, and professionals. The APDA I&R Center also mails out to newsletters every year to Parkinson patients who want to be on our mailing list. Support groups cover issues of stress relief and symptom management, therapeutic massage, music therapy, humor in caregiving, exercises for Parkinson patients, and many other crucial topics for both patient and caregiver.
