FAQ

Where is the Business Office located?

The Business Office is located on the second floor, right before you get to Admitting and Discharge on the right side of the hall.

Where is the Cafeteria located?

The Cafeteria is located on the first floor. As you come off the elevator, go right and go down the first hallway on the right.

Where is the MRI Center?

On the first floor of the Medical Office Building across from the registration desk.


How many people can be in the delivery room?

Three people may be in the delivery room at one time.

Can children come up to the Labor & Delivery unit?  What age do they have to be?

Siblings may come up to the unit if they are free of illness. Other
children may come up to the unit, if they are 12 years old.


How do I keep my marks on for radiation treatments and still bathe?

You can bath just as you always do, just do not take soap on a cloth and rub the marks. When you towel off, just blot over the marked area. We will do a touch up on your marks as needed through-out the course of your treatment.


Can my family visit me while I am in the Ambulatory Care Department?

Yes, we encourage family visits, however there are a few exceptions. (1) Limited visits to provide patient privacy, (2) Limited to family members that are not ill themselves, and (3) Limited to family members that are not disruptive to other guests.

Can my family be with me during my procedure?

No. This is a safety issue. The concern during a procedure is for the patient and all attention is directed to the patient. However, your family can visit you as soon as your condition allows and is encouraged to stay with you until you are discharged.

Where can my family wait while I am having my procedure?

In one of our designated waiting areas. We have volunteers available to answer any questions they may have while you are in your procedure.

Can I drive myself home after my procedure?

Yes, if you did not receive sedation. If you had a narcotic, however, you will need someone else to drive you home.

Should I bring my home medications?

Yes, this will enable the staff to more accurately formulate your plan of care.

Can I fill my prescriptions at the hospital pharmacy?

No, the hospital does not have a retail pharmacy permit because we are a non-profit organization.

May I wear my underclothes during my procedure?

No. Clothes become an obstruction to patient care during the procedure. Every attempt is made to promote patient privacy and dignity.

What can I expect the day after my procedure?

This question would be answered on a patient-to-patient basis. Each procedure and each patient is different. We would answer it to the best of our ability with the resources available.

If I live alone is there any transportation provided by the hospital?

Yes, we have a transportation service and the number is 501-321-1479.
