Notice of Access


St. Joseph’s Mercy Health Center and all of its programs and activities are accessible to and useable by disabled persons, including persons with impaired hearing and vision, and limited English proficient persons.
Access features include:
• Convenient designated disabled parking.
• Curb cuts and ramps between parking areas and buildings.
• Level access into first floor level with elevator access to all floors.
• Fully accessible offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, public waiting areas, cafeteria, patient treatment areas, including examining rooms and patient units.
• A full range of assistive and communication aids provided to persons with impaired hearing, vision, speech/language, manual skills. No additional charge for such items.

Some of these aids include:
• Qualified sign language translators for the deaf.
• Interpreters for other languages.
• Language interpreted forms (consent, patient rights, etc.).
• Telecommunication device for the deaf (TTY/TDD).
• Alphabet boards and other communication boards.
• Assistive devices for persons with impaired manual skills.
