skills to return to their home and work environment.

What does the treatment
entail?
In addition to medical and
nursing care, rehabilitation treatment includes physical and occupational
therapy, speech pathology, nutritional services and therapeutic recreation.
Because a disability does not just affect the patient physically, the Unit also
offers psychological and social services. Free support groups are available to
patients and their families during their hospital stay and after they return
home. Caring for the physical and emotional health of the patient makes this
transition easier.
