What causes diabetes?
Although specific causes for the disease are unknown, obesity and lack of exercise can play a role in its development.
How do I know if I have diabetes?
Some of the symptoms of diabetes include frequent urination, excessive thirst and hunger, rapid weight loss for no apparent reason, increased fatigue and irritability and blurry vision.
What happens if diabetes is not treated?
If left untreated, diabetes can lead to heart disease, stroke, as well as blindness and loss of limbs. Early detection and treatment, however, will decrease the chances of developing these serious complications. If you have one or more of the symptoms, see your physician immediately.
