Mercy names Hughes to St. Joseph’s Mercy Learning Resources position
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The Sisters of Mercy Health System (Mercy) recently named Joshua Hughes, a graduate of Bismarck High School and Ouachita Baptist University, Senior Consultant for Mercy Learning Resources at St. Joseph’s Mercy Health Center.
Hughes, who joins St. Joseph’s after serving seven years as Training Group Senior Manager for GMAC subsidiary Nuvell Financial Services in Little Rock, is responsible for non-clinical education at St. Joseph’s.
“My job entails working with Vice President of Mission and Ethics Patrick McCruden to deliver Mercy Leadership Institute training,” Hughes said. “It also involves making sure general and advanced orientations go off without a hitch and following up with co-workers who were not able to attend orientation. We try to give our co-workers a thorough education on our rich Mercy heritage, and at the same time, welcome them with hospitality that is in line with its foundation.”
Although Hughes, who resides in Bismarck with his wife, Shelley, has only been with Mercy and St. Joseph’s a short time, he likes what he sees and hears.
“I had always heard that St. Joseph’s is a great place to work, and now I can confirm it,” he said. “Co-workers genuinely care, and not only about our patients.
