St. Joseph’s names Dobyns to 4 East Unit Manager position
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Terri Dobyns, RN, BSN, Float Pool Manager for the last 11 years, recently accepted additional responsibilities with St. Joseph’s Mercy Health System as the hospital’s 4 East Unit Manager.
Before being named to the position, Dobyns, who has been with St. Joseph’s for 26 years, served the unit as interim manager for three months. In addition to her 4 East Unit responsibilities, she will continue to manage the Specialty Float Pool.
“The 4 East Unit features a good group of healthcare professionals and was well run before I took over on an interim basis,” Dobyns said. “You have the same thing with the Float Pool, so it makes for a good combination. Although it can sometimes be challenging, my work is rewarding and both groups make it considerably easier by being so fantastic to work with.”
Dobyns and her husband, Vance, have been married 17 years. They reside in Hot Springs along with their two daughters, 14-year-old Brittney and 12-year-old Courtney.
“Terri did a great job of filling in as interim manager, while continuing to manage the Float Pool and Express Admit,” said Kim Gillham, RN, BSN, Executive Director of Inpatient Services. “She has graciously accepted the position of 4 East Unit Manager and we appreciate all of her hard work and dedication to our patients and co-workers.”
