Oswalt named St. Joseph’s Director of Environmental Services
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – St. Joseph’s Mercy Health System recently named Larry Oswalt Director of Environmental Services.
Oswalt, who has over 30 years of experience in the environmental services industry, came to St. Joseph’s from Little Rock’s St. Vincent Health System, where he served in a similar capacity for four years.
“I am extremely excited to be with St. Joseph’s,” Oswalt said. “From the administrative staff on down, everybody tends to look at the positive side of things. Personally, I always try to focus on the positive, so my working here is a great fit. More than at anywhere else I have ever been, the faith-based side of things and a focus on moving forward is emphasized at St. Joseph’s. There is an expectation here of both among co-workers. We may not have everything in place, but we are definitely moving in the right direction.”
Oswalt earned his bachelor of science degree in education from the University of Mississippi. He and his wife, Felecia, have two adult sons and one daughter – 33-year-old Trevor, 29-year-old Mandy Ferguson and 22-year-old Timmy.
“We love the Hot Springs area and look forward to getting moved over here,” Oswalt said. “It’s a great place to live and offers a wonderful quality of life. My wife and I plan to retire here.”
A member of the Sisters of Mercy Health System, St. Joseph’s is a not-for-profit Catholic healthcare organization and three-time recipient of the large-company Gold Award at the Arkansas Governor’s Work-Life Balance Awards ceremony in the spring of 2006, 2007 and 2008.
