Sharon Gunter has a heart for helping others. It’s what led
her into the profession of speech language pathology and explains why she is so excited to be a new member of the Mercy Health Foundation board.
“When it comes to talk of me having a heart for helping others, I quickly give credit to the Sisters of Mercy who helped instill that trait in me at a very early age,” said Mrs. Gunter, a graduate of both Immaculate Conception (K-8) and Mount St. Mary (9-12), two Sisters of Mercy schools in Little Rock. “I now run into Mercy everywhere I turn, and it feels like I have come full circle. My husband was named St. Joseph’s Mercy Clinic President last spring and then I was elected to the same Foundation board that my first grade teacher, Sister Noeline Banks, RSM, sits on. We are so blessed and Mercy has given us so much. It’s a great honor to now be in a position where I can give back.”
